"Speaklife" is a music and art podcast about artists living with disabilities, black men's wellness, the healthcare industry, and aging rites of passage.
Created and hosted by 20-year veteran of the Burnt Sugar Arkestra Chamber, Mikel Mwalimu-Banks.
Speaklife aims to address issues of agency in disability arts culture, and the systemic challenges that individuals and their families must navigate.
The concept behind the show's format is that we use music as a springboard for conversations and wisdom sharing on art, agency, and disability.
